April 13, 2020
Are any of you feeling pressure to get it all done during the Stay-at-Home order continuing through the end of April?! As parents we often forget to take care of ourselves and our own mental health. Being there for your children emotionally is most important during this VERY trying time. This week’s blog is dedicated to all the wonderful parents doing an amazing job of keeping it all together.
Connecting with Other Parents:
While we are home with our families, it is important to continue to socialize with other parents. Attached is a list of ways to stay in contact with others
Allowing a time for you and your child to catch up on the news:
Often the news can be too emotionally draining for our children and cause them unnecessary worry. I have attached a wonderful daily five minute news source you and your children can listen to together.
Tips for Homeschooling During the Crisis:
As we continue to navigate through this difficult time, becoming both the teacher and parent is often a challenge. I have attached a podcast from NPR with some tips for homeschooling during the crisis.
As we continue to stay at home, please remember to take care of yourself and your own mental health. Please never hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
We are in this together!
